MICROBLADING / MIRCROSHADING/ OMBRE'
Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup technique where color pigment is applied using a special hand tool to etch hair like strokes just under the skin’s surface creating realistic natural looking brows. The effects of the treatment are semi-permanent and last up to two years. Overall, it creates a very natural looking brow.
Ombre' Brows incorporates shading giving the brows a powdered make-up look.
Microshading is a combination of Microbladed and Ombre' brows. This technique fills in the brows with hair stokes and shading, giving the brows more of a pronounced look.
HOW LONG DOES A SESSION TAKE?
Each service can take up to 3 1/2 hours. Most of the time is used to numb the area and map to ensure symmetry of the brows.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ABOVE PERMANENT MAKE UP OPTIONS AND EYEBROW TATTOOING?
The above options insert pigment into the skin vs. ink producing the appearance of natural looking eyebrows. The modalities in which the processes are performed are different as well.
If you want a semi-permanent solution for your eyebrow dilemma, either of the above options may be an option. It saves you the time and effort of drawing in sparse or non-existent brows and relieves the worry of them wiping off.
IS IT PAINFUL?
Numbing cream is used to numb the brow area prior to and reapplied during the service. Everyone’s tolerance for pain is different. We make every effort to ensure all clients remain comfortable during their sessions. Note that your menstrual cycle, steroids, and Fibromyalgia may increase sensitivity.
Smokers should be made aware that topical anesthetics used during the treatment will wear off quicker.
WHAT IS THE HEALING PROCESS?
After a session redness, tenderness, and minimal swelling is normal. The pigment will initially appear dark. Usually around week 2, there is some peeling and flaking. The pigment may appear to have gone away completely. However, by week 3 the pigment will begin to reappear. The final results are revealed 6 weeks after the session when the brows have fully healed.

HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NEEDED?
2 appointments are recommended to achieve the desired outcome. The initial appointment is to apply the pigment and the follow up is to make modifications and reapply pigment for retention.

NO Botox for 4 weeks prior to your scheduled appointment.
WHAT SHOULD I DO AFTER THE PROCEDURE?
Follow after care instructions thoroughly to retain pigment and avoid infection. DO NOT pick the area as this will cause the pigment to peel off prematurely. Avoid extreme heat, sweating, and bodies of water such as saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, pools, and lakes for 2 weeks.
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood thinning medications including but not limited to vitamin E, Aspirin, Niacin, fish oil supplements, and Ibuprofen for a minimum of 24 hours after the appointment.
No chemical peels or tanning until the brows are healed.
