PLASMA SKIN TIGHTENING

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

about Plasma Skin Tightening

WHAT IS PLASMA SKIN TIGHTENING?

Fibroblast also known as Plasma Tightening, is a process by which the Fibroblast cells in the dermis are activated causing these cells to create high levels of Collagen and Elastin. This creates an instant and long term tightening and anti-aging effect. The process does not involve injections, chemicals, cutting or blood. Effects are noticeable right away.

Fibroblast is the only cosmetic treatment to use plasma to reduce the volume of excess skin. Low risk, minimal downtime and more affordable than surgery. Fibroblast Treatment is known for it's success with Non Surgical Eye Lifts, Tummy Tightening, Neck Tightening and so much more.

DOES IT HURT and HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Each persons pain tolerance is different. A topical anesthetic cream is applied to numb the area being treated, minimizing discomfort.

The results should last years depending on the area treated.  The positive effects of treatment will be noticeable immediately after the first treatment, and the final results will take a few weeks to be seen.  For some, an additional treatment may be required after 10 weeks for maximum results.  Additionally, there are lifestyle factors that can prevent the result from lasting as long as they can, such as smoking, alcohol consumption, and prolonged sun exposure.

WHAT DOES THE SERVICE TREAT?

  • Skin tags and sunspots

  • Acne scars

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Eyelid Tightening

  • Loose skin

WHAT IS THE AFTERCARE PROCESS?

  • Immediately after procedure take an antihistamine

  • Keep the treated area clean using wound wash recommended by the your service provider (morning and night) Gently splash the area with cool water and rinse very thoroughly. Use very mild gentle pressure to clean skin.

  • Gently apply your aftercare product (using only clean hands) to each day until your scabs fall off on their own.

  • Allow the scabs to come off on their own. DO NOT PICK!

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure, tanning beds, working out, swimming, hot tub, steam bath, sweating, immersing scabs in water.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER and WHAT ARE THE RISKS?

There will be tiny brown marks that have the appearance of minor scabbing (carbon crusts) that will flake away in 7-10 days, revealing new skin beneath. Some swelling may be seen especially in cases of eyelid treatment, that typically last 3-5 days.

Fibroblast has been shown to be a safe treatment due to its non-invasive nature when done by a fully certified technician. Still the majority of clients are likely to experience some minor side effects.

To avoid any more serious side effects such as hyper-pigmentation, follow the aftercare recommendations given to you by your technician.

ON THE DAY OF TREATMENT...

Do not wear make-up on the treatment area. You can take an anti-histamine 30 minutes prior to your appointment to help with swelling and continue to take anti-histamines for 2-3 days following your appointment.

A numbing cream is applied for 30 minutes. When the treatment area numb, the session begins with multiple connections of a Plasma Pen, spaced closely together. You may feel some heat in the treatment area, which may be uncomfortable and slightly irritating. Treatment time is usually between 10-40 minutes, depending on the size of the area.

Immediately after treatment the area may be red and mildly swollen with small carbon crusts (spots).  You may experience a sensation similar to a sun burn which will likely last a few hours.  Swelling may intensify over the following few hours and more so when eyes are treated and may last 2-3 days.

Following treatment you will be given thorough aftercare instructions to ensure that you see the best results. In the week following treatment (or until the treatment area has fully healed) an exfoliating wash or cleanser should NOT be used. Instead opt for a pH balanced soap (dove), and avoid rubbing the area
